Logistics - Materials Clerk
Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm

This position is responsible for the cycle counting function, which includes all inventory items as well as, work-in-process (WIP) items and FG items. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory data at all times. Will be required to work in high places and operate forklift and lift trucks at times. This position also supports receiving specialists throughout the day along with reviewing work order documentation for accuracy and correctness. Displays Viant Values.
Position Authority:
Acts after approval, weighs actions and acts only after their supervisor has approved their chosen action. Follows standardized procedures and practices. Work is generally collaborative in nature. Directed in several aspects of the work.
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform regular cycle counts of finished goods and components
• Verify the accuracy of inventory
• Aid in locating materials in Warehouse
• Investigate discrepancies between electronic and actual inventory counts on shop floor
• Performs root cause analysis on large discrepancies as applicable.
• Make periodic adjustments to electronic inventory to match physical counts
• Perform other duties and assist in other areas as needed
• Review WO documentation, review misc requisitions to confirm MR have been processed, process any misc requisitions that have not been processed.
• Review WO for any necessary reconciliations, additions or corrections as applicable.
• Always follows all safety procedures.
Knowledge and Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Job Experience:
• 0-2 years cycle counting/warehouse experience.
Skills and Competencies:
• Basic math and organization skills, detail oriented
• Ability to bend and lift 40 pounds
• Data entry and computer skills
• Ability to work on feet for long hours
• Forklift skills suggested
Equipment Used:
• Standard Office Computer
• Pallet Jack, Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift/Reach Truck
Physical Requirements:
• Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous day-to-day activities of a primarily productive nature. (Lifting 40 lbs. /carrying 25 lbs.)
• Moderate lifting, carrying, bending, pushing/pulling, and prolonged standing.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and material.
• Requires the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
• Requires the ability to judge distance and space relationships (i.e. visualize objects of multiple dimensions).
• Must be able to handle chemicals safely and confidently.
• Must be able to use protective clothing/devices as outlined in procedures.
• Ability to work in a well-lighted, climate controlled, warehouse setting with adequate ventilation
