Location: Augsburg, Germany | Munich metro area candidates encouraged to apply

We are looking for a hands-on Materials & Chemical Engineer to join our composites team in Augsburg. In this role, you will support material development, process improvement, equipment implementation, and technical problem-solving for advanced thermoset composite manufacturing.

What You Will Do

Serve as a technical resource for composite materials, thermoset formulations, and manufacturing processes.

· Develop, qualify, and improve materials, products, and process controls.

· Lead problem-solving efforts for material, chemical, and process-related issues.

· Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, FMEA, Control Plans, and A3 project methods.

· Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, and global teams to share best practices and deliver customer-focused solutions

  • Responsible for formulation development and adjustments to match customer expectations
  • Optimize thermoset formulations and processes to produce products in TGC processes that exceed customer expectations.
  • Responsible for development of new materials and product realization
  • Support capital equipment projects, including specifications, statements of work, supplier proposals, installation, and launch.

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering, composites, thermoset materials, chemical processes, or industrial process development.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to move technical work from concept to execution.
  • Experience with thermoset composites and/or composite processes, preferred
  • Experience with process documentation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
  • German and English communication skills; bilingual fluency is strongly preferred.

Compensation: €75,000–€102,000, based on experience and qualifications.
