Materials Assistant I – Affirmative Action Position for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

As a Materials Assistant, you will ensure that the right resources are available at the right time. Your work directly supports the operational efficiency of our facilities and contributes to a more sustainable future.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor power plant inventory levels, identifying needs and issuing purchase requisitions to ensure proper replenishment.
  • Conduct monthly inventory counts and generate accuracy reports to support decision-making.
  • Receive, inspect, and store materials at the plants, ensuring item integrity and proper system records.
  • Issue invoices and coordinate material dispatch logistics in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Participate in donation processes, disposal of obsolete equipment, and waste management activities, ensuring proper controls and documentation.
  • Operate material handling equipment in the warehouse safely and efficiently.
  • Register materials in the Company’s system and create work orders for contracting requests.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma completed.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory control, invoicing, receiving, and dispatch of materials.
  • Basic experience with inventory management systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and administrative procedures related to the area.
  • Dynamic, organized, proactive profile with good adaptability to different situations.
  • Technical qualification in Electromechanics or Mechanics is considered a valued asset.
