Job Description

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Materials & Logistics Coordinator to join Downer’s Energy & Utilities business in our Perth office. Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Procurement, Logistics and Warehouse teams, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring project materials are sourced, tracked, delivered and available when required to support successful project execution.

Acting as the central point of coordination between suppliers, freight providers, warehouse personnel and project delivery teams, you will manage procurement activities, monitor material status, coordinate logistics and maintain accurate project records. This is a highly visible role that directly contributes to project outcomes by ensuring materials and equipment are delivered efficiently and in line with project schedules.

If you thrive in a fast-paced project environment and enjoy coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve results, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with one of Australia's leading infrastructure services companies.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate procurement activities, purchase orders and supplier follow-ups to ensure materials are delivered on time.
  • Track and expedite project materials from requisition through to delivery, maintaining accurate status reporting.
  • Coordinate freight, transport and logistics activities across suppliers, warehouses and project sites.
  • Support inventory management, material allocation and reconciliation of received goods.
  • Provide regular material status updates and reporting to project teams to support delivery planning.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to support major Energy & Industrial projects across Western Australia.
  • A collaborative and supportive team environment with strong leadership and mentoring.
  • Ongoing training, development and career progression opportunities through Downer's internal mobility programs.
  • The stability and opportunity that comes with being part of a Tier 1 ASX-listed organisation with diverse project opportunities across Australia and New Zealand.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive coordinator who enjoys working across procurement, logistics and project delivery functions.

  • Experience in materials coordination, procurement, logistics or supply chain roles within construction, industrial, energy, utilities or project environments.
  • Strong ability to coordinate multiple suppliers, freight providers and internal stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience maintaining procurement, logistics or inventory tracking systems and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project administration systems, with the ability to manage documentation and reporting requirements.
