
TxDOT's Corpus Christi District Lab is looking for a Material/Process Inspector II-V to join our Lab Team. Our lab team is responsible for performing testing of materials utilized in the construction of our state highways (e.g., flexible base, embankment, concrete aggregates) and ensure that they meet the requirements detailed in TxDOT's Standard Specifications; thus, ensuring the quality and longevity of our state's infrastructure.

Material Process Inspector II - (B19) $48,244- $76,028
Material Process Inspector III - (B20) $51,158- $81,351
Material Process Inspector IV - (B21) $54,278- $87,046
Material Process Inspector V - (B22) $57,614- $93,138

Performs material tests and manufacturing process inspections in laboratories, plants and/or at points of supply. Employees at this level follow standard practices that do not require frequent supervision of details.
High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Material Process Inspector II: 1 year of experience in laboratory work, material inspection or other engineering related work.
Material Process Inspector III: 2 years of experience in laboratory work, material inspection or other engineering related work.
Material Process Inspector IV: 3 years of experience in laboratory work, material inspection or other engineering related work.
Material Process Inspector V: 4 years of experience in laboratory work, material inspection or other engineering related work.
(Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
