Since 2013, our site Unither Manufacturing LLC. based in Rochester (NY), specializes in the manufacture of Blow-Fill-Seal, Liquid Stick-Packs, Pharmaceutical bottles, Tablets and Capsules. It has more than 360 employees.
Reporting to the Warehouse and Distribution Manager ,
Responsible for ensuring the efficient flow and proper storage of materials throughout the facility in accordance with documented procedures. Oversees and coordinates Warehouse Associate activities to support accurate and timely physical movement of materials and corresponding transactions within the ERP system. Coordinates intra-facility material transfers and ensures appropriate resources and support are available. Drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, delivery, and operational efficiency, while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment that meets all customer and regulatory requirements. Provides leadership to the Warehouse and Distribution team through training, coaching, and performance management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides day-to-day direction to staff and coordinates workflow within the work unit, including assigning and prioritizing work, disseminating operational information, arranging coverage for planned and unplanned absences, providing technical guidance, and resolving routine operational issues. Ensures work is scheduled effectively and that appropriate checkpoints and controls are in place to monitor progress and quality.
Verifies and approves employee timecards and monitors attendance in coordination with the Distribution Manager, in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws and Company policy.
Supports the Distribution Manager in fostering an effective team environment by coaching, training, and supporting employees, and by contributing to performance evaluations and corrective action processes as appropriate.
Assists with interviewing, selection, and onboarding of Distribution staff, in compliance with equal employment opportunity and non-discrimination requirements.
Demonstrates working knowledge of Company HR policies and practices and applies them consistently to support fair, compliant, and effective employee management.
Conducts ongoing assessments of training and skill needs, maintains training and competency matrices, and partners with the Distribution Manager to ensure required training is completed in a timely manner.
Coordinates the delivery of materials and components to production lines in accordance with FEFO requirements and established procedures.
Supports production operations by ensuring timely availability of materials and components based on the weekly production schedule and adjusts material support as needed to accommodate schedule changes.
Performs inventory adjustments and reconciliations as required to ensure accurate system and physical inventory alignment.
Assists the Warehouse and Distribution Manager in ensuring all deviations, CAPAs, and SOPs are documented, maintained, and closed in a timely and compliant manner.
Ensures all warehouse inventory is maintained in appropriate cGMP status in accordance with regulatory and Company requirements.
Your profile
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma/GED required; college degree preferred
5-10 Years’ experience in a pharmaceutical industry or highly regulated environment as a Receiving / Warehousing Associate.
3-5 years’ experience in a coordinator or supervisory role in a pharmaceutical industry or highly regulated environment
Licensed operator of materials handling equipment preferred
Knowledge of inventory control and ERP systems required, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with JDE and/or Shelly WMS preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Demonstrates the ability to identify and analyze inventory variances, including investigating and resolving discrepancies outside of normal cycle count tolerances.
Proficient in the use of quality management systems (e.g., Track Wise) to ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Exhibits flexibility and sound judgment in responding to daily schedule changes driven by resource availability, material flow, or equipment constraints.
Effectively plans, allocates, and adjusts manpower resources to support dynamic operational demands, including coordination with internal departments and external partners such as receiving bays, component carriers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
The ability to read, write and communicate in English
Warehouse/production environment with some disagreeable elements such as noise, dust, fumes, heat, safety hazards, etc.
Must be able to sit, stand and walk continuously throughout the day
Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention.
Subject to frequent interruptions of normal routine.
Occasionally subjected to weekend, holiday, or irregular hours.
