The Maritime System Division (MSD) of Leidos’ is seeking a Materials Requisitioner / Planner in the Long Beach, MS facility in a growing, fast-paced environment.

THE CHALLENGE (primary responsibilities)

  • Manage the fulfillment acquisition process
  • Create purchase requisitions in CostPoint
  • Communicate effectively with DOD industry suppliers and cultivate meaningful relationships
  • Manage Leidos required supplier paperwork
  • Collaborate with product engineering, production planning, purchasing and quality teams for mission success
  • Track supplier on-time delivery
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation
  • Maintain purchasing records and purchasing BOM status
  • Data analysis
  • Understand production flow
  • Create, open and close manufacturing orders
  • Other administrative duties as required

WHAT SETS YOU APART (basic qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years of relevant procurement experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates with experience in procurement AND/OR a combination of certifications, training, education, or military experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • MRP knowledge or experience (Costpoint)
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience using Windchill or a similar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work across multiple systems simultaneously
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Exposure to supply chain and commodity management in DFAR environment
  • Strong customer interface skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software
  • Strong Excel experience (Create workbooks, create formulas, applying formats, sort, and filter data, etc.)
  • Individuals must possess strong characteristics around initiative, attitude, assertiveness and sense of urgency
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be a US Citizen and meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • DoD or Military contract experience
  • Supply chain experience
  • Experience using Solumina
  • Ability to read mechanical drawing and data sheets

Pay Range:

Pay Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
