About this role

Carrier HVAC Residential has a position is for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Mississauga as a Material Planner/Sales Data Analyst.

As a Material Planner/Sales Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations including supply and demand planning process, financial forecasting and making minor changes or enhancements in our systems and processes to solve problems and improve the effectiveness of the work area. The other 30% of your time will be spent on sales/marketing data analysis, driving data-driven insights to support the marketing/sales team. Monitoring marketing and sales trends, conducting market research studies, keeping abreast of market segment trends and market conditions, ensuring data gathering/analysis processes are updated regularly, and providing recommendations to enhance market/sales analysis effectiveness. You will be responsible for ensuring adequate material availability, analyzing market and sales data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance overall operational efficiency.

This is a hybrid position for someone willing to commute to Mississauga a few days a week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the strategies for materials planning and SIOP
  • Ensure standardized materials planning and SIOP processes to optimize the utilization of business resources and meet customer expectations for delivery
  • Support the development of indicators that enable visibility to short and long-term market trends and demand
  • Identify appropriate demand streams and support in establishing data relationship linkages.
  • Interact with product development leaders, sales and marketing teams to develop demand forecasts
  • Assist in planning capacity and fulfillment of demand with plant manufacturing operations
  • Work with the manufacturing team, develop/compile monthly production volume planning, use the business forecast, inventory position, actual customer orders, and the defined capacity parameters to do so.
  • Identify new technologies to improve materials planning and SIOP capability, sustainability, and reliability
  • Track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Forecast and track marketing/sales trends, analyze collected data to identify market opportunities and adjust marketing strategies
  • Monitor the execution and analysis of market research studies/conditions, provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions
  • Interpret data on competitors, i.e., strategies, prices, sales, and method of operation to improve our competitive position
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of market segment trends, competitive activities, product pricing and industry regulations

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years plus of experience in material planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sales/data analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
  • Proven experience in sales data analysis
  • Analytical skills
  • Effective English communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • MS Assess and MS Excel, Power BI, and D360 software/tools
