Job Description

Material Planner in Ciudad Sahagun, Hidalgo

At Alstom, we build what millions depend on daily - rail transportation systems that can't afford to fail. We're more than 85,000 people worldwide creating the industry's most diverse portfolio: high-speed trains, metros, trams, maintenance services and integrated systems.

More Than a Job: A Mission

We are looking for a passionate Material Planner who thrives on ensuring the seamless flow of materials that power our rail systems. You will collaborate with dedicated teams to design and implement efficient supply chain strategies that keep our operations running smoothly and sustainably.

Your Role, Your Impact

  • Ensure material availability through accurate planning using SAP MRP and demand forecasting tools.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align supply schedules with project milestones.
  • Monitor supplier performance and reliability, implementing corrective actions to maintain continuity.
  • Drive process innovation by optimizing inventory management and introducing lean supply chain practices.
  • Share best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning teams.

You'll work with sharp, committed teams solving complex challenges that shape the future of mobility, ensuring seamless integration of business and technology.

What You Bring

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems for material planning and control.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in demand forecasting and supply optimization.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage supplier relationships effectively.
  • Understanding of logistics flows and production scheduling in industrial environments.

How Success Is Measured

  • On-time material availability supporting production and delivery schedules.
  • Effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to meet project goals.
  • Reduction in material shortages, improved inventory accuracy, and process efficiency.

Alstom, A Great Place to Grow

  • Work with advanced digital planning tools and global supply chain systems.
  • Contribute to sustainable mobility solutions with global impact from a local base.
  • Access continuous learning and career development opportunities within a global network.

Here, progress isn't always easy but the impact is real. Because the scale is massive, the tasks are complex when the system runs, the train moves, and the city connects that feeling stays with you. And the legacy lasts.
