Job Description

Location: Dublin Port, hybrid - two days a week in the office

We’re looking for a Material Planner to join our New Markets Supply Chain team in Ireland, reporting to our Material Planning Lead. You’ll help ensure the right ingredients and packaging arrive in the right place at the right time, working closely with suppliers, our logistics partner and teams across Gousto.

Our Ireland operation is still developing, so this is an opportunity to learn across the supply chain while helping improve the way we work. Success means maintaining reliable supplies, responding quickly when plans change and communicating clearly with everyone involved. You’ll receive support to learn our systems and processes, with potential to progress towards a Senior Material Planner role or explore other areas of supply chain.

Core Responsibilities

• Plan and place purchase orders for ingredients and packaging
• Use production forecasts and inventory information to make informed stock decisions
• Monitor demand, supplier lead times and stock levels to reduce shortages and excess
• Respond to supplier delays, availability issues and changing production requirements
• Build effective day-to-day relationships with suppliers and our logistics partner
• Coordinate with Buying, Quality, Operations and Food teams to keep plans moving
• Analyse supply chain data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
• Provide clear updates when priorities change or issues need escalating
• Support practical improvements to our planning processes and ways of working

Who you are

• Experienced in supply chain, logistics, procurement, planning or a related operational environment
• Organised and comfortable balancing several priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Calm and practical when plans change or unexpected problems arise
• Confident communicating with suppliers, partners and colleagues
• Comfortable using spreadsheets and data to support decisions
• Curious about how processes work and willing to suggest improvements
• Proactive in addressing issues before they become bigger problems
• Keen to learn new systems, including Google Sheets, Excel and Microsoft Dynamics
• Interested in developing a career across materials planning and the wider supply chain

You do not need to have held the exact title of Material Planner before. Experience with fresh food, purchase orders, Power BI or planning systems would be helpful, but it is not essential.
