JOB TITLE: Material Planner

Location: Heredia, Costa Rica

JOB ROLE

Analyze the demand of the assigned business area with the objective of generating the production schedule to achieve the delivery date and financial goals established by the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze incoming demand to maintain and ensure the delivery goals established by the organization through the SAP system.
• Review incoming demand with special requests for early delivery to meet customer requirements.
• Analyze and generate production schedules in a timely manner to meet established shipping dates.
• Analyze and generate production schedules so that inventory levels remain within established goals.
• Analyze demand for models to determine the capacity the production plant must run to meet established requirements.
• Schedule the production of the materials needed to meet customer requests.
• Keep the workplace clean and tidy, as well as provide support and follow-up on positions undergoing training to ensure compliance with the 6Ss.
• Fulfill the responsibilities of the position regarding occupational health, hygiene, and the environment, as well as report to their immediate supervisor any anomalies detected that threaten staff safety.
• Support continuous improvement processes that enable the development of Lean Manufacturing initiatives to increase productivity and reduce delivery times, defective products, and unnecessary costs.
• Perform other duties related to their position and assigned by their immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachillerato en Ingeniería Industrial o Bachiller en Administración de Empresas.
• English B2
• 3-5 years of experience
• Knowledge of ERP (SAP)
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Inventory knowledge (desirable)
