Join IRP Systems as a Material Planner, where you will play a crucial role in managing the supply chain to ensure efficient and timely delivery of materials. You will collaborate with various departments to optimize inventory levels and support production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement material planning strategies in alignment with production schedules.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust plans as necessary to prevent shortages or overstock.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to optimize supply chain processes.
- Analyze demand forecasts and adjust material orders accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of material orders and deliveries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in material planning or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

You’ll be responsible for the following
- Develop and manage material forecasts based on production schedules and demand planning.
- Physically inspect the material in the production line and Wearhouse.
- Monitor and analyse inventory levels of raw materials and components to ensure alignment with production needs.
- Collaborate with procurement to place timely purchase orders, ensuring materials meet quality and delivery standards.
- Coordinate with production teams to identify material requirements and resolve any supply chain disruptions.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and implement corrective actions for discrepancies.
- Utilize Priority or any ERP system to track material availability and generate reports on inventory status and performance metrics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and inventory management.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain strong relationships and ensure supply chain efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- [3-5] years of experience in material planning or inventory management, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, manufacturing operations, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in Priority or any ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities.
Advantages
- APICS certification or similar supply chain management certification.
- Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes and standards (e.g., TS16949, ISO 9001).
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and inventory optimization techniques.
