
Inside the Role
The Materials Planning & Control Analyst II is responsible for ensuring material availability to support DCNA’s parts distribution and operational requirements while optimizing inventory levels and supplier performance. Plans, schedules and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production. Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. May use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery
This role drives demand translation into executable supply plans, manages MRP parameters, monitors supplier lead times, and proactively mitigates material shortages. The position partners closely with Purchasing, Logistics Operations, Warehouse, Finance, and international suppliers (e.g., Turkey, Daimler Buses Germany) to maintain service levels while improving working capital efficiency.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role serves as the operational backbone of material flow discipline across the DCNA supply chain.

Position offers a starting salary range of $78,000.00 - $100,000.00 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

Material Planning & MRP Execution
Plan and schedule material requirements based on customer demand, forecast inputs, and service level targets.
Maintain and manage MRP parameters including:
Safety stock levels
Reorder points
Lead times
Lot sizing strategies
Convert demand signals into purchase requisitions and supply orders.
Ensure alignment between system planning outputs and operational realities.
Supplier Coordination & Lead Time Management
Work closely with Purchasing tomonitoropen orders and supplier confirmations.
Negotiate or adjust lead times asrequiredto protect service levels.
Proactivelyidentifyrisks related to:
Production delays
Transit disruptions
Capacity constraints
Support direct procurement initiatives (e.g.,Turkeysourcing strategy).
Inventory Optimization & Service Level Management
Balance availability with working capital discipline.
Reduce backorders and prevent stockouts through proactive planning.
Identifyexcess and slow-moving inventory and recommend corrective actions.
Supportinventoriesturn improvement initiatives.
Participate in cycle count reviews and root cause analysis for discrepancies.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Partner with:
Logistics Operations (inbound scheduling & freight planning)
Warehouse team (receiving prioritization & space planning)
Finance (inventory valuation & accrual accuracy)
Ensure seamless material movement from supplier → warehouse → customer fulfillment.
Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement
Monitor KPIs
Analyze trends and recommend structural improvements.
Lead or support projects to improve planning accuracy and responsiveness.
Provideinformal guidance to team members when needed.
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related fieldand 2–4 years of experience in material planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations,or8years relevant experience in lieu of degree
Working knowledge of MRP systems
Strong analytical and Excel skills
Understanding of supply chain drivers: demand variability, lead time, safety stock logic
An attached resume isrequired
Exceptional Candidates Might Have
Experience in parts distribution or automotive/heavy equipment environment
Exposure to international sourcing and long lead-time planning
ERPproficiency
Experience with KPI dashboards (Power BI preferred)
Lean / Continuous Improvement mindset
