About the Opportunity

This is for an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.

The Distribution Associate performs various administrative, coordination, and timekeeping activities in support of the Warehouse Distribution Center at the Cleveland Miles location.

This position reports onsite at the Cleveland Miles Service Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrates a solid commitment to all aspects of safety
  • Performs various clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to timekeeping for shop, warehouse, storekeepers, and themselves as assigned, telephone reception, sorting and distributing company mail, maintaining filing and record systems, process expenses in SAP, create submissions for P-Card use, coordinate invoice payments as necessary, order office supplies.
  • Orders materials and office supplies for shop as directed
  • Prepares for meetings with minimal assistance
  • Provides reliable day-to-day support to supervision and other employees
  • Professionally communicates with vendors, internal entities, department sections, and a variety of levels of management.
  • Performs repair & scrap tracking in Pert
  • Uses SAP to track equipment coming in for repair from the service centers and making sure the appropriate information is passed on to the store’s supervisors in regards to an item being repaired or being scrapped.
  • Manages time and priorities, ensuring day-to-day duties are completed timely
  • Effectively builds relationships across operations.
  • Provides assistance during emergencies and storm-related activities by entering employees into ARCOS & helping supervisors with acquiring rental cars for physical workers as needed.
  • Must be proficient with PC software applications include Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point), SAP, PERT, and ARCOS.
  • Must be able to complete transactions in SAP as assigned.
  • Must understand the Company’s Accident Prevention Handbook and apply this to safety in the workplace.
  • Must have the ability to acquire knowledge related to Environmental regulations.
  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment, and to manage, organize and prioritize work with attention to detail.
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to operate in a team or consensus decision-making environment, possessing the ability to evaluate solutions and make decisions based on knowledge of work practices and consultation with minimal supervision.
  • Must be self-motivated with a questioning attitude to continue to learn, produce results, and strengthen existing relationships.
  • Tracks transformers and related information input into the PCB Equipment Repair & Tracking system(PERT)
  • Provides continuous waste handling support for environmental issues, including monitoring inventory of PCB for tracking and disposal.
  • Schedules and coordinates transformer scrap trailers w/ G&S ensuring the flow of trailers back to G&S.

Qualifications at the Material Operations Support Level I include:

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of related work experience
  • Must pass the Company’s EEI Support and Administration Selection System (SASS) test.
  • Must have ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work load
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to handle confidential information.
  • Utilize SAP, ARCOS, Qlick, PERT, Empower
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the company's safety policies.
  • Communicates effectively across functional and operational boundaries
  • Knowledge of the company's labor agreements

Qualifications at the Material Operations Support Level II include:

  • 2-4 years of related work experience
  • Must pass the Company’s EEI Support and Administration Selection System (SASS) test.
  • Must have ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work load
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to handle confidential information.
  • Utilize SAP, ARCOS, Qlick, PERT, Empower
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the company's safety policies.
  • Communicates effectively across functional and operational boundaries
  • Knowledge of the company's labor agreements

Qualifications at the Material Operations Support Level III include all the above plus:

  • 4 to 7 years related work experience is required.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Products.
  • Proficient in the PERT and ARCOS system
  • Knowledge of the company's labor agreements.

Qualifications at the Material Operations Support Level IV include all the above plus:

  • 7+ years related work experience is required.
  • Excellent working relationships with all levels of Management
  • Ability to take on more roles as assigned, possibly ordering some commodities to help procurement team at the warehouses
  • Experience in supporting / filling in for Supervisor
  • Must be certified to sign Hazardous Waste Manifest.

FirstEnergy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.

The estimated base pay range for this role is $46,500 - $68,500.
