Carrier Transicold & Refrigeration Systems (Refrigeration) helps improve the transport and shipping of temperature-controlled cargoes with a complete line of equipment and services for refrigerated transport, industrial cooling, retail display and cold chain visibility. For 50 years, the Refrigeration business has been an industry leader, providing customers around the world with the most advanced, energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable container refrigeration systems and generator sets, direct-drive and diesel truck units, trailer refrigeration systems, mechanical systems and refrigerated display cases.

About this role

Carrier Transicold & Refrigeration Systems is looking for a Material Management Transformation Leader who will be the champion and change agent in the improvement of the material planning process globally. This is an onsite (with flexibility) role from either in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida or Athens, Georgia area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the deployment of the material management activities in the Business Units and Factories
  • Functional leadership for and oversight of plant materials, and warehouse employees
  • Provide continuing guidance and support to execute and improve key materials management processes i.e. SIOP, PFEP, production planning/scheduling, capacity management, and inventory management
  • Contribute to the definition of the policies and procedures related to material management
  • Support material management projects i.e. create, maintain and govern the execution of project plans
  • Manage the process design i.e. overall process, sub-processes deploy material management disciplines & playbook and audit program
  • Deploy Technology/Digital enablement
  • Conduct relevant training to the extended team (functional and factory)

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
  • 5 years plus experience in demand planning, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, materials management, logistics, or operations
  • 2 years plus experience with LEAN principles and continuous improvement
  • 2 years plus experience in process definition, implementation, or change management
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (international /local)

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Systems Engineer
  • MBA preferred
  • Project management skills, data-driven, results-oriented, accountable for results
  • Strategic business goals & objectives, and financial planning
  • ERP systems, MRP planning, forecasting systems, inventory optimization software, supply chain design, and lean supply chain methods
  • Leadership qualities, i.e. influence (up, across, down), problem-solving, decision-making, and relationship building
  • Understanding of demand, supply planning, and material management
  • English written and verbal communication skills, effective communication to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Technology enablement (large scale) and technology tools
  • SIOP digital systems i.e. Kinaxis, Material Management solutions i.e. LeanDNA, and supplier portal systems i.e. Infor
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills i.e. interpret large amounts of data and provide recommendations for improvement actions
  • Interpersonal and collaborative skills, and a negotiator to reach consensus, buy-in, and commitment
