This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character and which routinely exercises discretion and judgment. The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field.


The Mechanical Associate Design Engineer I/II will provide expert judgment and analysis for designing, developing and implementing high-capacity conveyors. also need to ensure the Quality and Schedule of the documents issued to the customers/consultants.

The Mechanical Product Engineer will also be responsible for engineering project management and overall design integrity of product while ensuring the product designs meet the project scope, schedule and budget requirements.
This position supports the Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects and performs routine aspects of engineering assignments, applying basic engineering principles.


Key Accountabilities
• Prepare basic and detailed engineering deliverables for high-capacity material handling conveyor systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and obtain technical inputs required to meet project scope, schedule, budget, customer specifications, and applicable standards.
• Review customer specifications and develop practical equipment design solutions to meet project requirements.
• Review and approve design drawings, calculations, and engineering documents as applicable.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, third-party engineering service providers, customers, vendors, and global resources to obtain approvals and deliver project requirements.
• Support job-site activities, fabrication, manufacturing, installation, troubleshooting, and sales efforts as required.
• Support proposal development by defining equipment requirements and providing input for equipment estimates.
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of design standards, specifications, and engineering procedures.
• Manage engineering activities across multiple projects while maintaining quality, schedule, and design integrity.


Technical Competencies
• Strong knowledge of high-capacity material handling conveyor systems, including equipment layouts, interfaces, components, and design calculations.
• Good understanding of material handling standards, engineering design fundamentals, and steel fabrication practices.
• Ability to interpret customer specifications and translate requirements into effective engineering solutions.
• Working knowledge of multidisciplinary design requirements, including structural, electrical, procurement, service, and fabrication considerations.

• Strong coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Accountable for quality, schedule, budget, and project deliverables.

Basic Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 4–8 years of experience in the design and development of high-capacity material handling conveyor systems.

Tools:
• AutoCAD
• Belt Analyst or equivalent conveyor design software
• Basic of BIM tools
• Microsoft Office tools
