The Yard Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials, trailers, and non-inventory items between the Aveda BMF facilities. This role primarily operates an electric yard tractor (semi-truck) to transport inventory, position trailers at dock doors, and support overall yard logistics operations.
The position plays a key role in maintaining material flow between buildings, managing trailer movements throughout the yard, and supporting warehouse operations through inventory transfers, trailer spotting, and coordination with shipping, receiving, manufacturing, and warehouse teams. The Yard Material Handler is also responsible for performing daily safety inspections on yard equipment and maintaining compliance with all company safety and operational procedures.
This role requires strong situational awareness, safe equipment operation, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment while supporting operational efficiency and dock flow management.
Pay Range:
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20.00 to $24.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
