Job Description

Provide support to operations by shipping product to customers as well as loading and unloading trailers in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize SOMS for all shipping verifications, prepare paperwork, labels and load shipments
  • Ready freight for shipment, applying correct labels and performing shipping audit where required
  • Load trailers in a safe and effective manner
  • Pull raw material orders to support the lines
  • Cross-train as back up to lead shipper to ensure department flexibility
  • Stage material for shipments
  • Print customer labels as required, apply correctly according to customer specifications
  • Enter customer shipments based on requirements into customer shipping portals
  • Unloading, completing receiving transactions and put away of raw materials
  • Follow customer guidelines for shipping product
  • Clean up/consolidation of products on racking
  • Operate a fork truck in a safe and conscientious manner
  • Be familiar with HHT scanner
  • Perform correct transactions in SOMS and Oracle
  • Ability and willingness to work with AMR’s (Autonomous Mobile Robots)
  • Follow ITAR/EAR export guidelines
  • Follow plant safety requirements
  • Follow departmental TQS procedures
  • Maintain clean fork truck and work areas
  • Communicate timely and accurately with Account Managers, Customer Order Management contacts, Logistics Providers, and plant personnel to meet customer requests.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of employees
  • Work the hours that are dictated by production/shipping needs
  • Must have valid Fork truck license or complete required training
  • Computer software experience (Oracle, MS Excel, Word, Internet Explorer)
  • Ability to learn customer online order entry portals
  • Good interpersonal skills with professional customer facing communication style
  • Good attendance record
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • CDL not required, but preferred

Delivery Receive incoming goods, accurately sort, label/package, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space. Operates manual and automated equipment to pick, pack and ship product per the customer expectations. Demonstrates a high level of competency in core work skills. Works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard. Teamwork Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams Completes training in line with business requirements. Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development. Maintains clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks. Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals. Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment in need of repair.

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. Requires certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc.) and/or other heavy machinery. Valid driver's license required. CDL not required, but preferred. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
