Job Description

As a part-time Material Handler at Analogic, you will play a crucial role in managing the flow of materials within our organization. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing items, ensuring accurate inventory records, and supporting shipping and receiving tasks. This position is vital to maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our operations. This role is temp-to-hire, offering you the opportunity to grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Storage:

  • Welcome Materials:Receive and unload incoming materials, supplies, and equipment with precision.
  • Verification:Check items against purchase orders or invoices, ensuring accuracy and inspecting for damage.
  • Organized Storage:Store items in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area, maintaining order.
  • Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records of received items, including quantities, descriptions, and locations.
  • Preservation:Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or deterioration.

Inventory Management:

  • Tracking:Monitor inventory levels and movements to maintain optimal stock.
  • Reconciliation:Reconcile inventory records with physical counts, ensuring accuracy.
  • Audits:Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to uphold inventory integrity.
  • Discrepancy Resolution:Identify and resolve discrepancies in inventory records promptly.
  • Reporting:Prepare insightful reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.

Distribution:

  • Fulfillment:Fulfill material requests or requisitions with efficiency.
  • Retrieval:Locate and retrieve requested items from storage swiftly.
  • Delivery:Distribute materials to designated departments or individuals, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Additional Duties:

  • Order Processing:Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions with attention to detail.
  • Organization:Maintain a clean and organized storage area, promoting a safe work environment.
  • Communication:Liaise with vendors and internal departments regarding material needs and discrepancies.
  • Waste Management:May be involved in the disposal of scrap or surplus materials.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical Skills:Basic math and computer skills, especially Excel, are essential.
  • Attention to Detail:Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Team Player:Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Communication:Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively.
  • Physical Stamina:Ability to lift and move materials, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Inventory Knowledge:Familiarity with inventory management principles is a plus, knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • High attention to detail and good manual dexterity needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
