This position operates material handling equipment to facilitate the movement of product between buildings, truckloads, and railcar, working inside and outside with exposure to temperature extremes, weather, dirt and dust. Use technology to identify product before loading/unloading. Workplace hazards exist that require safety precautions.

What you will do
  • Operates material handling equipment, such as, forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Secures trailers to all docks and provides trailer information to the office.
  • Operates electric forklift and associated warehouse equipment to safely and accurately move product within the warehouse. Additional equipment may include rail cars, stretch wrappers, scrubber and hand tools.
  • Proper usage and compliance with warehouse management system (WMS) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) . Follows internal protocol for inventory accuracy and customer compliance.
  • Loads and unloads trailers, trucks and rail cars in a safe manner as to not damage product or physical assets of Travero or customer.
  • Participate in inventory tracking and audits.
  • Performs all work according to established procedures and safety practices.
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma Required

Required Experience
Preferred Experience
  • 2 years experience operating an electric forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing facility.
  • Previous experience operating an electric high reach forklift.
  • Previous experience of working with a warehouse management system (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP)
  • Previous experience working in a food grade environment (warehouse or manufacturing)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to work inside and outside with exposure to temperature extremes.
  • Ability to use a calculator and basic math competency.
  • Flexibility to other work assignments including sanitation, value-added, assembly and rework projects.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. safely.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range:

21.00 - 24.00

The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
