As a Material Handler, you will perform all duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering materials, equipment, and supplies.
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday
What you’ll do at Tosoh Quartz.
- Examine incoming shipments for damage and quantities and communicate with Purchasing to rectify issues.
- Review incoming and outgoing items to compare identifying information and verify against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Enter incoming and outgoing shipment information into the computer.
- Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping; prepare necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
- Secure cargo properly and safely with weight evenly distributed for transport.
Who you are.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to organize merchandise efficiently.
- Knowledge of computerized shipping systems and record keeping practices.
- Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages and objects in a safe manner.
- Ability to communicate professionally
- Experience using material handling equipment in a safe manner.
