Job Description

Seeking a reliable Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations for a global climate control products manufacturer. This role offers a pathway to full-time employment through a staffing model.

As a Material Handler / Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for handling materials, operating standup forklifts, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. Your role ensures accurate processing of shipments and proper routing of materials within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Operate standup forklift to load and unload materials and orders.
• Perform manual and clerical duties related to shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products.
• Receive goods, verify shipment records, and inspect item conditions.
• Pack and prepare items for shipment according to specifications and transportation methods.
• Record all received and shipped items accurately using established procedures.
• Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
• Complete required written and computerized documentation.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Standup forklift operation required.
• Warehouse experience including loading/unloading orders by forklift and use of RF Scanner.
• Successful drug test and background check.
• Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills.
• Ability to operate powered equipment such as forklifts or hydraulic jack lifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification preferred.

Work Environment

• Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm work schedule.
• Location: Chatsworth, CA 91311.
• Contract employment with benefits.

• Adherence to safety and quality procedures mandatory.
