Job Description

Title: Material Handler

Compensation: $19.00/hr Employment Type: Full-Time

Tasked with the movement of Raw Materials, Work in Process (WIP), and Finished Goods throughout the plant, along with the loading and off-loading of trucks and containers.

Responsibilities

  • Use electric or hand jack to deliver and remove product to and from the production lines in a timely fashion.
  • Load and off-load trucks and containers manually or with the use of jacks.
  • Stock material in their appropriate locations.
  • Ensure all material in house is properly rotated and undamaged.
  • Maintain knowledge of material’s location throughout facility.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time. Must be comfortable wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when on the production floor or in any areas where PPE is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to perform all duties in a facilities environment that includes exposure to loud noises, temperature
  • extremes, inclement weather conditions, airborne particles, vibration, and hazardous materials. May require standing
  • for long periods of time, stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying.
  • Must maintain a positive attitude and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must excel in a team oriented organization. Excellent interpersonal skills – team player
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment
