Fincantieri Marine Group is hiring for a Material Handler in the Manufacturing department at our Green Bay, WI location. This is a 1st shift role, Monday -- Thursday 6AM -- 4:30PM.

The position is responsible for for maintaining inventory accuracy daily. Duties include providing support in a customer service role to all departments throughout the company; provide support to department co-workers, providing administrative support to the Warehouse lead and Production Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Process all electronic data sent from Area Planner/Foreman turning them into a "pick-list" for the Material Handling personnel to pull parts from.
  • Operate forklifts
  • Operate company vehicle with trailer
  • Operate Pallet Jack
  • Basic use of computer (outlook, word and view excel spreadsheets)
  • Process all pick list in ERP system after material is pulled.
  • Process all items Returned to Stock from Manufacturing and are located in Warehouse.
  • Determine appropriate disposition and process all Stock Room Requisitions accordingly.
  • Maintain accuracy, input and output of all Drop Plates.
  • Work with originators of HPR's, determining available inventory to "borrow" or inventory not available.
  • Process all HPR's in a timely manner.
  • Complete Bin to Bin transfers in a timely manner.
  • Finish the receipt process of Goods Received Noted turned in by Material Handling.
  • Determine inventory accuracy by processing inventories counted by Material Handling.
  • Support all personnel in various departments with requested information.
  • Manage inventory utilizing tooling provided.
  • Provide complete work pack kits to production, on schedule.
  • Other duties and overtime as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Ability to work in inclement weather (cold, hot, rain, snow, etc.)
  • Must have basic organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor
  • Must adhere to ISO and OSHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awareness

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 1 Year of warehouse experience is preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand or walk; use hands and arms to grasp, handle, manipulate, or feel objects and controls; stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch; and speak or hear. The employee may lift and/or move up to 35lbs regularly and up to 50lbs occasionally. Work is performed both inside and outside in varying environmental conditions, including heat, cold, wet, humid, dry, and arid climates. The employee may also be required to work in confined spaces and at varying heights. Frequent use of PPE is required to minimize noise exposure, moving machinery, weather elements, and other potential hazards, including the risk of injury.
