The Material Handler supports warehouse operations by mixing, packaging, receiving, storing, and shipping products in accordance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, maintaining inventory integrity, and supporting the safe handling of materials, including hazardous materials and waste when applicable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform manual warehouse duties, including picking, packing, staging, and inventory movement
  • Load and unload company trucks, common carriers, and customer vehicles using forklifts and other equipment
  • Ship and receive products according to company procedures, documentation requirements, and safety guidelines
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Mix and package products accurately, ensuring correct weights, quantities, and labeling
  • Support inventory accuracy through proper storage, handling, and documentation
  • Handle hazardous materials or waste safely and place materials into appropriate containers as required
  • Complete inspections and required paperwork related to hazardous waste receiving, storage, and shipping (as applicable)
  • Participate in emergency response activities (in-plant or off-site) as assigned
  • Follow all company policies, quality processes, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate industrial powered equipment such as forklifts in accordance with company procedures and regulations
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to perform basic math and counting for order accuracy and product handling
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs for short distances and handle heavy drums and materials as required
  • Ability to work safely in an environment with daily exposure to fumes, dirt, noise, and hazardous chemicals
  • Willingness to wear required PPE and use respiratory protection equipment as needed
  • Ability to learn proper hazardous materials and waste handling procedures through training
  • Must be able to meet company drug testing requirements
  • Knowledge of cGMP requirements and regulated facility processes preferred (as applicable by location)
