Manage and maintain warehouse inventory accuracy, ensure timely deliveries to internal/external customers, and uphold safety, quality, and regulatory standards (SOX/ISO). The role operates material handling equipment, performs cycle counts and inventory reconciliation, processes shipments and site-to-site transfers, and partners with Procurement, Finance, and Quality on compliance and continuous improvement initiatives. Success requires strong organization, attention to detail, proficiency with inventory systems (SAP / Material Master), safe equipment operation, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Main Responsibilities
Receiving:
Ensure timely and accurate receipts of incoming materials.
Verify proper documentation for all receipts.
Process transactions accurately and promptly in SAP.
Maintain record retention for all receipt documents.
Document any discrepancies and collaborate with Procurement to resolve issues.
Inventory management:
Maintain, and issue inventory with FIFO requirement timely.
Perform SOX‑compliant cycle counts, create storage bin locations; collaborate with procurement maintain part/material data in inventory systems (SAP / Material Master).
Work with Procurement to process/scrap damaged parts.
Support IATF/ISO/Quality audits.
Shipping & logistics:
Execute site‑to‑site transfers.
Package, process, and label outgoing shipments.
Generate shipping documents.
Retain records per policy.
Evaluate freight options for lowest cost.
Ship to meet on‑dock dates.
Safety & EHS: Adhere to safety/environmental procedures; apply ergonomic handling techniques; process chemicals per company and local regulations; proactively prevent incidents; maintain a clean, orderly workplace.
Continuous improvement & projects: Lead/assist implementation of new procedures and policies; recommend changes to process flows; drive quality improvement, cost reduction/avoidance/containment; actively engage in lean initiatives (6S, TPM, CIP)
Other Responsibilities
Mentorship & consultation: Maintain and improve knowledge of Materials processes; mentor team members; serve as point of contact for internal customers and buyers; respond via phone, email, and systems.
Meetings & communication: Engage in area/department meetings; surface ideas, concerns, and issues to supervisor; contribute to auditing activities.
Minimum Required Qualifications/Experience
At least O-level or SPM or any equivalent qualification
Experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/logistics.
Proficiency with inventory management software (SAP / Material Master).
Ability to operate material handling equipment (manual/electric pallet jacks, forklifts, delivery vehicles); relevant certification required for powered equipment.
Working knowledge of SOX cycle counting and ISO/quality audit practices.
Commitment to safety, accuracy, and on‑time delivery.
Must Have Technical Skills
SAP Inventory Management / Material Master data maintenance.
Cycle counting, reconciliation, and root‑cause analysis (SOX‑aligned).
Material handling equipment operation (pallet jacks).
Shipping documentation & systems
Must Have Soft Skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline.
Clear, timely communication with cross‑functional partners.
Problem solving and continuous improvement mindset (lean thinking).
Reliability under time constraints; ownership of deliverables.
Highly Desirable/Preferred skills or experience
Experience creating/maintaining bin location structures and consigned vs. owned materials processing.
Hands‑on participation in lean programs (6S, TPM, CIP) with measurable outcomes.
Prior involvement inIATF,ISO, Quality, and Finance (SOX) audit support.
Familiarity with ergonomics and chemical handling compliance in warehouse settings.
