Join our Toyota Heavy Duty Team as a Material Handler in Shipping and Receiving!

The Role:

We’reseeking a passionate and dedicated Material Handler who brings enthusiasm, energy, and expertise to the table. In this role, you’llcoordinate and expeditethe flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments while collaborating with a dynamic and diverse team to achieve shared goals. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Properly account for the location of incoming goods
  • Ensure no damaged items are sent or received
  • Verify that products in each delivery match the packing list
  • Update inventory records as products are received and stocked
  • Package products for return to vendors and complete required paperwork
  • Minimize customer build downtime related to parts availability and procurement issues
  • Investigate and resolve issues with missing or delayed parts
  • Relay information such as estimated delivery dates between technicians and managers
  • Communicate with supervisors, departments, and customers to resolve service or parts-related issues
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify procurement teams of potential shortages
  • Track production schedules, assign materials, and prevent delays impacting delivery timelines
  • Assist Material Handling teams in preparing and delivering materials to end users
  • Perform additional duties within the Material Handling department as needed
  • Work overtime as required, including weekends

What We’re Looking For:

  • Forklift experience
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Access or SAP preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities

  • Experience proactively preventing production delays and improving workflow efficiency
  • Strong problem-solving skills in resolving inventory, delivery, and parts issues
  • Ability to effectively coordinate between procurement, production, and material handling teams
  • Hands-on experience in both inventory control and material handling operations

 Where and When You’ll Work:

  • This is an in-person role, located at our East Chicago, IN facility, which is ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.
  • Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
