We have an opening on our first shift team for a person who cananticipatethe needs of production and deliver the goods just in timeMaterial Handler is responsible for moving, storing, and tracking raw materials and finished products within a production facility. They operate equipment to load/unload shipments, transport materials to production lines, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure safe, clean, and efficient warehouse operations Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, lifeinsuranceand paid time off.
Job Tasks
Bring materials to the production floor as needed.
Stock components and point-of-use racks.
Clear work area and restock to supportchange-overs
Remove finished goods from the production floor to the shipping area
Apply stretch wrap, labels andLPN'sto pallets of finished goods
Use scanner to transfer materials in inventory tracking software
Stage finished goods for shipment
Other duties asrequired
Must be able to:
Operate power driven equipment (forklift, tugger, floor sweeper, scissors lift).
Frequently climb on andoff fromthe equipment.
Operate a handheld scanner and use an electronic scaleand stretch wrapper.
Work independently, make decisions, communicate with others
Work with a high degree of accuracy and with attention to detail
Lift, push,carryand place parts with arms extended
Lift,bendand reach, including below waist level and above shoulder level
Lift, push and pull weights of up to 35lbsfrequentlyand up to 60lbs. occasionally (propane tanks weigh 57lbs at full capacity)
Use hands to manipulate parts, move boxes, carry tools
Use vision to inspect parts, readlabelsand inventorysheets
