We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Material Handler This position reports to 2nd Shift Production Supervisor and will work in Litchfield

General Responsibilities

    • Handles high quantity of small and large parts.
    • Stows product in warehouse.
    • Replenishes parts for Production and B2 as needed.
    • Consolidates pick locations in warehouse.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

  • Must be dependable and have a good attendance record.
  • Must be accurate with numbers and scales.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision.
  • Must pass the required job protocol physical test as administered by Apex Physical Therapy
  • Must have tested in at least Category IV of the Job Standard Physical Base Profile – lift up to 70lbs

Note: Failure to maintain any of these qualifications may result in disqualification from the position.

  • Must be forklift/motor certified.
  • Must be dependable and have a good attendance record.
  • Must be available to work required overtime as schedules dictate.
  • Must be accurate with numbers and scales.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must be capable of passing tow motor licensing requirements within 30 days of the award of the bid.
  • Must pass the required job protocol physical test as administered by Apex Physical Therapy.
  • Must not have discipline warnings in the last 12 months.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision.

Note: Failure to maintain any of these qualifications may result in disqualification from the position.

Training:

  • Supervisors will place employees to their specific work areas to observe the material handling position and job function before beginning the forklift safety course in the classroom.
  • They will then need to complete the Fork Truck Classroom Training before being placed on a fork truck.
  • Material Handlers must pass the classroom training/test by 80% to be able to drive.
  • After Classroom Training, the Material Handler will be placed with a trainer - Trainer will work with the new MH for up to 5 days (per each truck).

Once Trainer feels the MH is ready for testing, they will then be tested by the Safety Coordinator for their final evaluation.
