Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Material Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to involve in monitoring, inspection, coordination, witnessing, documentation of all material of the project to ensure that the project is constructed as per Contract requirements and specifications
What You'll Be Doing:
Serves as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at the job site
Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
Coordinates work of subconsultants for material testing
Maintains office files related to the project, material inspections and writes daily diaries.
Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract
Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work
Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems on construction materials, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution
Collects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.
May provide technical guidance to lower-level
Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports
Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures
Capability to perform math calculation in order to prepare engineering calculations, graphs and charts
Observe, check and record works execution is in accordance with approved methods
Check material delivered are as approved and properly stored
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years in infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years in the UAE/GCC on roads, bridges, or tunnels.
Strong technical reporting, MS Office, basic AutoCAD, laboratory management, and stakeholder communication.
