Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Material Delivery Tractor Driver to join our Lowcountry team in Jedburg, SC. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting sand, gravel, and other crushed materials from local suppliers to our concrete plant locations and customers. Your dedication to safety, efficiency, and excellent service will contribute significantly to our operations and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate a tractor and end dump trailer to haul materials such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone from suppliers to designated delivery points.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational policies without exception.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment while upholding the company’s core values.

Requirements

• Valid Class-A CDL with a minimum of one year of professional driving experience.
• Current DOT Physical.
• Clean driving record.
• Prior experience operating a tractor-trailer dump preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to work a variable-hour schedule.
• Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to sit for long periods, stand, walk, type, carry, kneel, ascend and descent stairs, and bend.
• Ability to complete truck inspections.
• Ability to work primarily indoors with occasional work outdoors in multiple types of weather / environmental conditions.
