Material Coordinator
Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between sections or departments according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains manual or computerized records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Reviews HP and LP production schedules and related information and confers with department management to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
• Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
• Creates and maintains daily production schedules.
• Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Arranges in plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
• Computes amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes.
• Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
• Move or transport materials from one department to another, manually or using material handling equipment.
• Maintains the Customer order status.
• Receives material into Oracle.
• Experience in dealing with internal and external customers.
• Communicates via email and ships samples to the customer.
• Ships and receives material.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
• Knowledge of computers, Access, ACL, Oracle, sufficient to evaluate the material inventories.
• Knowledge working with Oracle to input data for inventory.
• Knowledge of the products marketed and their manufacturing process. Knowledge of distribution process.
• Knowledge of production scheduling.
• Knowledge of mathematics sufficient to calculate square footage.
• Ability to communicate well in oral and written forms with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to type sufficient to input data.
• Ability to operate a 10-key calculator.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
High School Graduate or GED
Sixty semester hours of college in Business Administration, Science, or closely related field
EXPERIENCE:
Sixty semester hours of college in Business Administration, Science, or closely related field, plus two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may substitute for 60 semester hours of college. If no applicant possess the educational requirements the company will accept 3 years of clerical or business related work experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing and lifting material or
equipment of heavy weight 50 to100 lbs
ENVIRONMENT:
Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud
noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
