Mate – 68' Viking Sport Fish (Private)

Location: Florida Keys

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: up to $100,000/ year DOE

The vessel is a 2022 Viking, purchased by the owner in May 2026 and kept at the owner's private residence. This is an owner-operated program with a hands-on owner who takes pride in his boat and is looking for a motivated, reliable Mate who will take the same level of pride in maintaining and operating the vessel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operation and day-to-day management of the vessel.
• Maintain the boat to a high standard, both inside and out.
• Assist with fishing operations and prepare the vessel for fishing trips.
• Handle routine cleaning, washdowns, detailing, and general maintenance.
• Assist with dockside duties and vessel preparation before and after trips.
• Monitor equipment and identify maintenance needs.
• Work closely with the owner to ensure the boat is always ready to go.

Requirements

• Previous experience aboard sport fishing vessels is a must
• Strong work ethic and a proactive, hands-on approach.
• Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a vessel.
• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently.
• Professional attitude and the ability to work well directly with an owner.
• Fishing experience
• Must be Legal to work in the USA
