Clear Street is modernizing the brokerage ecosystem. Founded in 2018, Clear Street is a diversified financial services firm replacing the legacy infrastructure used across capital markets.

We started from scratch by building a completely cloud-native clearing and custody system designed for today’s complex, global market. Our platform is fully integrated with central clearing houses and exchanges to support billions in trading volume per day. The Team:

We started with a small group of experienced engineers and the team has significantly increased in size to a team of 50+ with plans to continue to grow. The team was formed to execute on Clear Street’s growth strategy of expanding our products and services to reach more asset classes and geographies. We work closely with engineering and product teams based in New York.

Members of the team have the unique opportunity to be part of a growth journey, building a technology stack from scratch, and making a big impact on the financial market. In this role, an individual will work in conjunction with team members in Sweden and NY to build applications for our Securities Finance and Futures businesses, the Execution Management, Risk as well as Custody and Clearing systems.

The Role:

We are seeking students interested in Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Financial Modeling to complete their Master's Thesis with the Swedish Engineering team. In this role, you will join one of our engineering teams to research a topic specific to that team's focus.

You Bring:

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Physics, Interaction and Design or Industrial Engineering.
• Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for technology and a desire to learn new skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Thesis Ideas:

• Clear Street offers a variety of Master's Thesis topics spanning Computer Science, AI, and Financial Modeling.
• Candidates are also welcome to propose their own ideas.
• The exact thesis topic will be determined during the recruitment process based on mutual fit and interest.
