Master's Service Design Graduation Intern | Learning Journeys | Utrecht
As a Master's Service Design Graduation Intern at Rabobank, you will learn how to manage an end-to-end service design project in practice. Within Wholesale & Rural in Utrecht, you will explore how current development initiatives support junior bankers in building the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to grow their careers. Through human-centred research, you will investigate both the effectiveness of these learning experiences and the factors that influence junior bankers' motivation to continue their careers at Rabobank.
You will translate insights into a relevant concept or design direction that helps strengthen professional development and long-term engagement. Particular attention will be given to how emerging technologies are reshaping learning and development, and how training approaches can evolve to prepare bankers for the future of work.
This hybrid graduation internship offers flexible start and end dates, which can be agreed to suit your master's programme. The assignment centres on human-centred research and service design, with outcomes that directly support how Rabobank develops and retains talent in an increasingly technology-enabled banking environment.
You will work on the end-to-end design process, from discovering user needs to presenting a meaningful outcome for end users.

Is this role suitable if I have little work experience?
Yes. This is a graduation internship for a master's student. Relevant experience from your studies, projects, internships, part-time work or other activities can help you demonstrate your skills.
What will I learn, do and develop?
You will learn how to complete an end-to-end service design project by researching user needs, translating your findings into design directions, prototypes or a final solution, and communicating with stakeholders.
You can develop your skills in user research, journey mapping, service blueprinting, strategic design, prototyping, testing and stakeholder collaboration.

Yes. This hybrid internship is based at Rabobank’s Croeselaan office in Utrecht, with the option to work from home on non-team days.
