Campbell Property Group (CPG), one of Australia’s leading residential construction and property development companies, is growing. We are expanding the team and looking for an experienced
Master Draftsperson to join our growing Design team

What you will do?

As the Master Draftsperson you will develop highly accurate, detailed, and compliant working drawings that align with building regulations, design standards, and business objectives.

Day to day you will:

• Develop detailed, complex working drawings, ensuring alignment with design briefs and
  compliance requirements
• Refine and enhance design details, incorporating best-practice methodologies for efficiency and quality
• Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes, Basix, Nathers, and developer guidelines
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and legislative requirements
• Verify constructability of designs, ensuring minimal rework and construction challenges
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in all design documentation, supporting high-quality project delivery
• Work closely with designers, construction teams, and estimators, ensuring seamless design-to-construction workflows
• Assist in developing and refining drafting standards, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the team
• Act as a technical resource for junior draftspersons, supporting training and knowledge-sharing
• Liaise with external consultants and regulatory bodies as needed, ensuring alignment with compliance standards
• Identify opportunities to streamline drafting processes, improving speed and accuracy
• Contribute to template development and automation initiatives, enhancing workflow efficiencies
• Maintain and update the internal product range manual, ensuring all drawings reflect current specifications
• Ensure best-practice CAD usage and data management, optimising drafting efficiency

About you?

• You will have a high level of technical expertise and problem-solving ability, ensuring complex designs are practical, buildable, and cost-effective along with:
• Experience in residential drafting, preferably in a volume-building environment
• Extensive expertise in AutoCAD, ADT, or equivalent CAD software, ensuring efficient drafting execution
• Experience developing and refining complex working drawings, ensuring buildability and compliance
• Strong understanding of building regulations, construction processes, and compliance requirements
• In-depth knowledge of Basix, Nathers, and sustainable building practices
• Familiarity with developer and council guidelines, ensuring alignment with project requirements
• Detail-oriented and meticulous, ensuring high levels of drafting accuracy
• Proactive and solutions-focused, with strong problem-solving skills
• Collaborative and team-oriented, ensuring strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Resilient and adaptable, able to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment
