
The HW Transfer Service manages the movement of hardware between R&D laboratories, storage locations, and other operational environments. The service involves multiple stakeholders, processes, systems, data flows, and handovers.
This thesis will investigate how artificial intelligence, automation, and digitalization can improve the service’s efficiency, scalability, traceability, and user experience. The work will include an end-to-end assessment of the current service and the development of a proof of concept for one selected use case.
The expected outcomes include an assessment of the current service, a prioritized set of improvement opportunities, evidence-based recommendations, and a validated proof of concept. The thesis will conclude with a written report, presentation, and handover of the results and proof of concept.
