Star Services LLC is a leading provider of integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and project management services to the oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master - SPJUB to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
As the Master - SPJUB, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the offshore operations, including the safe and efficient operation of the vessel and its crew. You will work closely with the project management team to ensure that all project objectives are met and that all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the overall in-charge of the vessel, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel and its crew.
- Coordinate with the project management team to plan and execute all offshore operations in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and industry standards and regulations.
- Manage and lead the vessel crew, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all vessel activities, including crew movements, maintenance schedules, and safety drills.
- Monitor vessel performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal efficiency.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and drills to ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of project activities.
- Manage the vessel budget and ensure that all expenditures are within budget.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent the company in a positive manner at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- Valid Master Mariner Certificate.
- Extensive knowledge of vessel operations, including navigation, safety procedures, and maintenance.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
