Job Description

Responsibilities

Join Peraton in advancing the safety, efficiency, and modernization of the National Airspace System (NAS) through the FAA’s Business, National Airspace, and Technical Computing Services (BNATCS) contract. As a trusted partner to the Federal Aviation Administration, Peraton helps deliver the systems and services that keep our nation’s skies safe and connected.

We’re looking for innovative professionals who thrive in mission-critical environments and are passionate about shaping the future of air traffic management. This is your chance to make an impact on one of the world’s most vital transportation infrastructures, working alongside leaders in aviation, engineering, data science, and systems integration.

At Peraton, you won’t just support the mission — you’ll define it.

Master Scheduler, Senior Advisor

Location: Herndon, VA

We are seeking a highly accomplished Master Scheduler to provide strategic leadership in the planning, integration, and execution of complex FAA programs that directly support the modernization of the nation’s aviation infrastructure. In this high-impact, highly visible role, you will serve as the authoritative lead for Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS), driving alignment across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, material control, quality, and subcontractor teams to ensure seamless program execution.

This position offers a unique opportunity to influence mission-critical initiatives that enhance aviation safety, operational reliability, and the future readiness of the FAA. You will play a pivotal role in enabling proactive program management through advanced schedule analytics, risk mitigation, Earned Value Management (EVM), and data-driven decision support.

As a strategic advisor, you will leverage modern reporting and visualization technologies—including dashboards, Power BI, and AI-enabled scheduling tools—to create dynamic views and predictive models for schedule analysis, program completion tracking, resource forecasting, and conflict resolution. Your ability to transform complex scheduling data into actionable insights will directly support executive decision-making and program success.

Following onboarding in Chantilly, VA, work will be performed onsite in Herndon, VA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, integration, and maintenance of complex program-level Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) aligned with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), contractual milestones, and FAA objectives.
  • Serve as the senior scheduling authority across multiple functional organizations, geographically dispersed teams, and subcontractors—ensuring schedule integrity, transparency, and accountability.
  • Utilize Dashboard, Power BI, and AI-driven analytics tools to build interactive schedule views, model program completion scenarios, identify scheduling conflicts, and support predictive analysis.
  • Perform critical path analysis, resource forecasting, and schedule health assessments to proactively identify risks and drive mitigation strategies that keep programs on track.
  • Partner with executive leadership, FAA stakeholders, engineering teams, and program management offices to provide actionable insights that support strategic and data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of schedules with Earned Value Management (EVM) systems, performance reporting, and all contractual deliverables (CDRLs).
  • Drive schedule analysis and executive reporting in support of major technical and programmatic reviews, including PDRs, CDRs, SRRs, TRRs, and milestone readiness assessments.
  • Mentor and develop junior schedulers by establishing best practices, strengthening scheduling discipline, and fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by communicating complex schedule challenges, impacts, and recovery strategies with clarity, confidence, and influence.

This role is ideal for a strategic scheduling leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is passionate about combining traditional program controls expertise with modern analytics and AI-driven decision support capabilities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • BS/BA degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, MS/MBA with 10+ years, or 16+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Integrated Master Scheduling (IMS), Earned Value Management (EVM), and critical path analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency with industry-standard scheduling tools, including Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent.

  • Proven experience using Dashboard and Microsoft Power BI tools to develop scheduling analytics solutions.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence program direction and decision-making.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience managing schedules for complex, multi-site, and multi-contractor programs.
