POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Master Scheduling Manager, this position will work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to build an optimal schedule for bus line entries to ensure that our New Flyer facilities have successful operations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Facilitate Master Scheduling meetings with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure proper documentation and review of risks, issues, concerns, and changes and provide necessary feedback and resolutions.
  • Evaluate the status of New Flyer facilities and the New Flyer Supply Chain
  • Update business plan to maintain bus line entry status, completion status, shipment status, and performance status
  • Updating and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) in relation to the Annual Operating Plan
  • Perform business plan simulations as required
  • Create simulations in various formats to present to ELT for consideration
  • Lead cross training initiatives within the Scheduling group
  • Work with the Scheduling team to ensure that the process is on track and well communicated
  • Ensures operational KPI’s and OPEX are established, and objectives are met.
  • Create and analyze reports on departmental objectives and issues.
  • Monitor and promote the Health and Safety programs and takes an active role in developing a safer working environment.
  • Maintaining operational budgets for each production department, including obtaining and reviewing budget results with budget owners monthly, identifying deviations and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure a continual follow of product to meet both internal and external requirements.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline in operations management or equivalent experience will also be considered
  • At least 5 years’ previous experience in a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • High level of computer capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and knowledge of Oracle would be an asset.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing is considered an asset.
