Job Description

A Day in Your Life at MKS
As a Master Scheduler at Ophir Optics /MKS Company located in Bucharest, Romania you will be working on site and focus on coordinating production workflow so that we meet our customer demands on time. In this role, you will report to the Project Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule (MPS) in line with forecast, customer order and inventory strategy
  • Balance demand and forecast with production capacity and material availability
  • Turn demand into Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP), on 6-12 months horizon
  • Ensure adequate SAP Operations plan to ensure MRP run and components availability
  • Keep track and report on production daily output vs MPS
  • Schedule shipment plans in line with MPS and customer delivery expectations, maintaining KPIs related to OBQ and OTD
  • Coordinates the shop floor, logistics and purchasing teams to resolve daily issues that threaten the shipping schedule, working together with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams
  • Identify potential risk to the customer's timeline and escalate to the Program Manager with proposed mitigation plans
  • Act as the primary contact with the customers to confirm “Available to Promise” dates for orders
  • Monitor the order backlog and ensure zero past-due orders
  • Continuous improvement for production planning processes and workflow.

Skills You Bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, material science, or equivalent discipline.
  • English – B2 to C1
  • SAP / ERP (Oracle) – Medium level
