Job Description

Master Scheduler

Full time

Derby / Hybrid (min. 3 days on-site)

Why join Rolls-Royce?

Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) is critical to high-performing organisations, enabling a coordinated and streamlined end-to-end (E2E) supply and demand process. SIOP is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence across demand planning, parts production and supply, load balancing, warehouse storage and logistics to support engine build and aftermarket requirements across a complex matrix organisation.

Rolls-Royce is undertaking a multi-year transformation program to revolutionise its SIOP process, enhancing transparency, agility, and decision-making. The transformation aims to deliver connected, live data insights for executive leadership, driving optimized operational and financial outcomes. At the core of the transformation is an Advanced Planning System (APS), which will enable concurrent planning, scenarios and data insights, changing the way Rolls-Royce does planning.

We are seeking a dynamic Master Scheduler to contribute to this transformation journey, leading the integration of APS across OE, Aftermarket and Parts. This will involve working with partner organisations, Aero Purchase, Defense and IT to deploy our transformed SIOP process.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead key elements of the APS deployment plan.
  • Translate requirements across business areas and share with IT team and partners.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the plan.
  • Ensure that data required for APS is sourced and quality issues identified and resolved.
  • Lead in redefining the business processes.
  • Be an advocate for the SIOP transformation.

Preferred requirements:

  • Planning experience in the external supply chain, aftermarket or manufacturing.
  • A good understanding of a SIOP process (ideally in manufacturing industries).
  • Knowledge of planning tools within ERP systems (e.g., MRP) and potential experience of using an Advanced Planning System (APS).
  • Strong people skills experience, ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Robust organisational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with external stakeholders and partners.
