Job Description

The Master Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the master production schedule to optimize manufacturing operations, balance capacity with demand, and ensure on-time delivery of products. This role serves as the central coordination point between Sales, Production, Planning, and Logistics functions. This position is based in Bandung and operates within a Bonded Zone (Kawasan Berikat), requiring close alignment between production planning and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Bonded Zone operations and a strong understanding of Customs / Bea Cukai regulations, enabling seamless coordination across material control, import–export processes, and manufacturing execution while ensuring full compliance with bonded facility requirements.

Master Schedule Development & Management

  • Create and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned with demand forecasts and capacity constraints (OK)
  • Balance production capacity with demand requirements across multiple production lines (OK)
  • Establish realistic production timelines considering lead times, material availability, and resource constraints (OK)
  • Monitor schedule adherence and implement corrective actions to address deviations (OK)

Planning & Analysis

  • Set up a demand plan and conduct capacity planning analysis to identify bottlenecks or constraints and material risks.
  • Develop scenario plans to address demand fluctuations and supply chain disruptions
  • Generate and analyze KPIs including budget attainment, on-time delivery, and COGS
  • Assist the monthly S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) and S&OE Sales and Operations Execution meetings
  • Incorporate bonded zone inventory flows and customs clearance lead times into production scheduling and planning cycles

Cross-Functional Coordination

Partner with Regional CFL to balance and firm the demand plan

Collaborate with Operation Managers to ensure production capacities align with the demand plan

Coordinate with Materials & Warehouse Manager to ensure the material plan aligns with the demand plan

Coordinate with Logistics team on import/export documentation, duty management, and bonded inventory compliance to ensure timely product delivery to customers

Liaise with internal customs compliance teams to ensure scheduling activities align with bonded zone regulatory requirements

Co-lead external customs audit performed by the government with the global customs organization as well as collaborating with different functions,

Drive improvements on logistics & customs compliance pertaining to IT Inventory system and movement flow throughout the factory by collaborating with different functions such as IT, sourcing, finance, warehouse, material planning, operations and maintenance

Maintain relationships and engagement with customs officials

Engaging in Lean Initiatives and Kaizen Events to drive improvements.

Hold the operations team accountable and RCA to deliver the Parts Per Day required to support the Supply plan

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor the Planning Controller and provide daily guidance
  • Establish scheduling priorities and delegate tasks effectively
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional development
  • Define and follow MPS DMS and Leaders Standard Work for the Planning team

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and tools
  • Implement best practices in production planning and scheduling methodologies
  • Drive initiatives to improve schedule reliability, Budget Attainment and OTD
  • Identify improvement opportunities in bonded zone processes to reduce customs-related delays and improve overall supply chain efficiency

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field

Experience

  • 3-5 years of production planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Proven track record of managing complex production schedules
  • Experience working within or in close coordination with a Bonded Zone (Kawasan Berikat) facility
  • Familiarity with Customs/Bea Cukai processes, including import/export documentation, bonded inventory management, and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following qualifications will be strongly preferred during the selection process:

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
  • Experience with Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) systems
  • Direct, hands-on experience in Bonded Zone (Kawasan Berikat) operations and handling Customs/Bea Cukai matters, including PIB/PEB documentation, and periodic bonded zone reporting
  • Ahli Kepabeanan certification (PPJK)
  • Willing to stay in Bandung
