The position / About the Job:

In this job the Master Planner would be responsible for:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Create production plan for manufacturing activities to execution customer orders.

  • Short term and long term Capacity Planning overview of man, material and machines.
  • Set and follow up targets, Firm 6 days manufacturing plan.
  • Monitor the 3-day plan and daily performance, reschedule if any changes are required with proper reason.
  • challenge the manufacturing cell or the buyers/ purchase team if require.

Processing and Execution of Manufacting orders

  • Monitor the daily performance with concern TMs, reschedule if any with proper reason,
  • Monitor the daily value addition for cell and DFC for manufacturing unit.
  • Monitor the M.O. DOT of each cell.

Effective utilization of Resources

  • Maintain takt
  • Scope of flexibility
  • JIT to be achieved
  • Optimum utilization of resources
  • Take initiative for LSS GB projects
  • Responsible for the cells planning and performance.
  • Drive the team towards the Objectives and Goals.

Communication with Key stake holders

  • Highlight and Coordinate with Buyers for material availability.
  • Timely communication about delay of components for rescheduling MOs./Load.
  • Communication to Buyers and Manufacturing about any change in customer orders.
  • Communication to OH about delay well in advance, so that can be communicated to Customers.
  • Active participation in Cell board meeting and new initiaves
  • Raise problem cards on CSB boards as and when required.
  • Part of KPI targets – DOT, IDS, and DPMO.
  • Ensure a good level of coordination between OHs, buyers, TM's and other support functions.
  • Analyse and present how forecasted sales volumes affect the workload in the workshop, as well as raw material and components + MOVEX.
  • Support for the costing updates as and when required.
  • Monitor and communicate current workload and capacity situation in the workshop – Planning, (MOVEX and D365).
  • Prepare, secure and review next 3 days plan daily.
  • Secure frozen production schedule minimum next 6 days.
  • Expectation is to complete PA of the machines 1 week before Ex-work delivery.
  • Expect to support for MOVEX/D365 updating if any.
  • Monitor to Schedule and Close M.O.s on time by TMs.
  • Constant awareness about future shortages minimum N5W.
  • Respect and follow ALPS standards.
  • Train and coach, your sub ordinates to work in the system – Organization (MOVEX/D365).
  • Expect to create a cordial relation within the organization.
  • Being a Green Belt at least 2 GB projects are to be completed per year.

Knowledge, Qualification and skills:-

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Production with 5–7-year experience of PPC.
  • Resource planning

  • Support to order handlers and buyers as and when required.

Who are you?

As a person who synchronizes the flow of material along the entire supply chain. This is performed at both an S & OP level and Master Planning level to optimize the utilization of production, supply capacities, inventory levels, and seasonal stock as well as balancing of supply and demand.

What can you be?

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering from a reputed institute.
  • 3 to 5 Years of experience in the same field
  • Good English both oral and written.
  • Good coordination and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience of working with ERP systems
  • To take initiative for problem-solving and improvement activities
  • Making an immediate value-based decision
  • Work according to the priority’s safety, quality cost
