Job Description

Wage $30.54-$31.43

Programs, troubleshoots, and operates programmable controllers, distributive control systems and interlocking systems.

  • Performs electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work; installs or replaces circuit breakers, fuses, variable speed drives, motors.
  • Performs and assists in all operations maintenance activities. All applicable work is done in accordance with National, State and Local Electrical Codes.
  • Works on electrical equipment including but not limited to Frequency Drives (VFDs), contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring.
  • Considerable knowledge of and ability to use standard hand and power tools and equipment used in electrical maintenance activities. Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and operate hand and power tools in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of process piping and related equipment.
  • Knowledge of steam generating systems.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic controls, cylinders, and valves.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic controls, cylinders, and valving.
  • Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, positive pumps, and diaphragm pumps.
  • Knowledge of welding and pipe fitting
  • Uses the company's computerized maintenance management system (SAP) to record and access maintenance related information.
  • Assist the machine operators with troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Ensure all repairs are documented. Foster teamwork consistent with our company and plant Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist as needed on all types of maintenance calls throughout the plant. Knowledge of electrical codes, practices, and techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Considerable knowledge of and ability to use standard hand and power tools and equipment used in maintenance activities. Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, and operate hand and power tools in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Considerable knowledge and application of safety standards and precautions pertaining to electrical work.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or Technical School
  • Minimum 5 years of skilled industrial maintenance experience or comparable technical school. Prior experience in a food or bottling manufacturing environment a plus.
  • Welding experience a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic math skills, be familiar with and have a working knowledge of equipment, ability to interpret simple to complex blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
