Education:
Requireshighschool diploma or GED
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Ohio Driver’s License and a Journeyman’s Certification.
Experience:
Requirescompletion of the 3-year University of Akron or other State Approved Sponsored Apprenticeship Program for Trade or Requires a minimum of 8 years of mechanic trades experience.Ability tooperateand use standard powered and non-powered tools and equipment such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers, drills and crowbars, jackhammers, core drills, circularsawsand hammer drillsrequired Ability to perform mathematics associated with trade applications (fractions, ratios, percentages)required Ability to read, write and accurately follow oral,writtenand graphic instructions requiredAbility to work alonerequiredProblem solving skills and the ability to use judgment indeterminingthe correct course of actionrequired Prior experience in leading others preferred.
Leadership:
Provide guidance to nonexempt staff including general scheduling, assigningtasksandmonitoringthe work of others, as assigned
by the Supervisor.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 80 pounds without assistance and demonstrate bending,crouchingand liftingMust be able to climb a ladder, scaffolding andworkon rooftops.
