Carrier is looking for a data management professional to join our team as MDM Operations Business Partners (Vendors/Customers), Analyst/Operator. The MDM Operations Business Partners (Vendors/Customers) Analyst/Operator will be part of the Carrier Business Services (CBS) Global Master Data Management (MDM) team and will be responsible for the timely master data maintenance with the Business Partners (Vendors/Customers) data domain. The role will support efficient and controlled MDM operations services for the Business Partners (Vendors/Customers)datadomain delivering the highest Master Data quality level, first-time right, supporting efficient end-to-end business processes and allowing for decision making based on trusted data.
The role focuses on operational excellence, thriving for best-in-class Master Data quality. To achieve this, skills and experience in shared services and/or MDM services are needed. For the Business Partners (Vendors/Customers) data domain, he/she supports the delivery of agreed service levels, applying the mandatory controls & compliance rules.
He/She operates in a highly complex systems landscape and within a matrix organization. System complexity includes at least 100+ ERP instances, plus several other enterprise-level systems, supported by multiple service providers.
Being part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team, your responsibilities include:
Responsible for executing activities done by the MDM Operations team within all capabilities provided, i.e. Master Data maintenance processes, controls, SLAs, point of contact for MDM CoE and business, issue solving (root cause analysis), process performance monitoring
Maintaining Master Data following the data quality, controls and compliance rules and regulations
Adhering to SLAs and report/escalate exceptions to Operations domain Lead
Notifying the business users on the status of requests (e.g. rejected requests and reason)
Conduct issue root cause analyses and IT touchpoint for system issues fixes
Support monitoring of MDM services performance and MDM end-to-end processes timelines
Supports MDM Operations management and collaborate with the MDM CoE for new service introduction. This includes taking part into projects testing phases, producing SOPs and training materials
Supporting the data archiving and/or de-activation process with checks for open transactions and/or use in other systems
Supporting monthly operations sample auditing and its reporting
Supporting MDM field audits
Keeping MDM Operations documentation up to date (e.g. SOP, training materials, …)
When applicable, responsible for data entry into information systems
Responsible to respond to business for additional information on completeness and accuracy of master data requests, including process to follow and update on request status
Good communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries
Support MDM Operations Lead and Domain Lead with process standardization and optimization to drive down total cost to serve and enhance customer satisfaction through continuous improvements
Customer service mind-set with excellent customer service skills
Ability to build working relationships and foster communication with internal customers within and across organizational and geographic boundaries
Bachelor level
Japanese skill (reading, writing and speaking)
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a shared service center
Working experience supporting MDM operational processes preferred
Experience in implementation of MDM in a Shared Services environment preferred
Experience in interfacing with business operational customers and IT
Experience in root cause analysis
Experience in MDM application systems as key user (preferably SAP and SAP MDG)
Experience in continuous improvements preferred
Experience in Ariba preferred
Experience in complex IT system environments as user
Experience in complex business environments with multiple stakeholders, including service providers for both IT as organizational/processcapabilities
Keeps deadlines and produces high quality output
Manage dialogue with support functions and key stakeholders
Good communicator
Partner for issue management/escalation
