About Provost Customs

Provost Customs is seeking a Master Automotive Technician to join its team in Woodland, California. This position starts at $35 per hour, with the potential for a higher hourly rate based on experience and qualifications. The shop restores, rebuilds, repairs, and customizes a diverse mix of vehicles, giving an experienced technician the opportunity to tackle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, maintenance, and unique custom projects in a relaxed work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and automotive system issues across a variety of vehicles.
• Perform general automotive repair and maintenance while maintaining the shop's quality standards.
• Use diagnostic equipment, including a Snap-on MODIS scan tool, to identify vehicle concerns.
• Work on a diverse mix of domestic, Asian, European, classic, and specialty vehicles.
• Contribute to restoration, rebuild, customization, and other unique vehicle projects.
• Complete mechanical work as part of larger custom builds involving multiple shop specialties.
• Work alongside the General Manager, Shop Foreman, and other specialists to keep projects moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional automotive shop experiencerequired
• Strong automotive diagnostic and mechanical repair skills required
• Experience working across a variety of vehicle makes, models, and automotive systems.
• Ability to handle complex repairs as well as general automotive maintenance.
• Basic personal hand tools required.
• Dependable work habits and a strong commitment to quality.
• Willingness to continue learning and developing automotive skills.

Compensation & Benefits

• Starting pay of $35 per hour.
• Higher hourly compensation may be available based on experience and qualifications.
• Hourly pay structure with bi-weekly pay.
• Medical insurance, with the company covering 70% of the employee's base medical premium, subject to eligibility requirements.
• Dental and vision insurance, with the company covering 50% of the employee's premium, subject to eligibility requirements.
