Job Description Summary

Raymond James is seeking a highly skilled Mass Account Transfers Operations Consultant to lead and coordinate large-scale account transition initiatives that support acquisitions, business conversions, and strategic onboarding projects across the firm. This role serves as the operational lead for complex account transfer programs, partnering closely with Private Client Group leadership, Operations, Technology, Compliance, Risk, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and exceptional advisor and client experience.

This is a highly visible role that requires strong operational expertise, project management capabilities, stakeholder influence, and the ability to connect multiple business functions to successfully deliver large-scale transitions. The consultant acts as the face of the conversion process alongside business partners and plays a critical role in driving execution from planning through completion.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale mass account transfer initiatives related to acquisitions, advisor transitions, business conversions, and onboarding programs.
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact throughout the conversion lifecycle, partnering with internal stakeholders and external organizations.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, coordinating activities across Operations, Technology, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Service, and business leadership teams.
  • Facilitate and lead recurring project meetings, provide status updates, identify risks, and drive timely issue resolution.
  • Develop and execute project plans, timelines, communication strategies, and implementation activities to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships with Private Client Group leaders, advisors, and business stakeholders to support transition objectives.
  • Analyze complex operational challenges and identify solutions that balance business needs, operational requirements, and regulatory considerations.
  • Influence stakeholders across multiple departments to ensure alignment, accountability, and execution against project milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address obstacles, dependencies, and resource needs.
  • Create and deliver communications tailored to various audiences, including senior leadership, advisors, operational teams, and external partners.
  • Drive operational excellence while maintaining a strong focus on service quality, risk mitigation, and client experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (Business, Finance, Accounting) preferred OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Significant experience in financial services operations, brokerage operations, wealth management operations, or related areas.
  • Experience supporting account transitions, conversions, acquisitions, advisor onboarding, or large-scale operational initiatives.
  • Demonstrated project management and cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, controls, and regulatory considerations within financial services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven ability to take ownership, drive accountability, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Preferred

  • Experience with mass account transfers, business conversions, acquisition integrations, or transition management.
  • Experience partnering with technology, compliance, risk, and business leadership teams on enterprise initiatives.
  • Project management certification or formal project leadership experience.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) highly preferred
  • Series 99 highly preferred

Education

Bachelor’s: Accounting, Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance, High School (HS) (Required)

Work Experience
