Position: First Shift Head Custodian - 8 paid hours per day with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch.
Location: Mason Early Childhood Center
Job Responsibilities
* Shall be responsible for cleaning of those areas of the building which may be designated by Administration.
* Shall be responsible for supervision of all other custodians (if assigned) assigned to the building. This includes the development of daily work schedules during the summer months.
* Shall make periodic inspections of the building to determine cleanliness, repair and maintenance needs. Any repairs needed which are beyond his/her capacity shall be reported to the Assistant Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds.
* Shall be responsible for the maintenance of an up-to-date inventory of janitorial supplies on hand.
* Shall be responsible for the issuing of written requisitions to the Assistant Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds for custodial supplies and equipment as needed.
* Shall be responsible for the heating system of the building and the early notification of the Chief Operations Officer and Assistant Supervisor of Buildings & Grounds should problems exist which might require the closing of the building.
* Shall be responsible for the safety, security, cleanliness and sanitation of the building and grounds to which he/she is assigned.
* Shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by Administration.
Minimum Job Requirements
* Must have a high school diploma or GED
* Must be able to pass a BCI&I and FBI criminal background check
* Must be able to bend, twist, stoop, squat and lift in excess of 50 lbs on a routine and ongoing basis
* Must a proven history of good attendance
